I had been dealing with chronic UTI’s for years before I finally found relief. It started with one that wasn’t diagnosed and quickly escalated into a kidney infection that landed me in the hospital. Ever since then I had to deal with 4+ UTI’s a year.  I went to a bunch of doctors and specialists who, after numerous test, all gave me the same answer.

“I don’t know”

Now, I was thinking, “Well if the specialist doesn’t know who the heck is going to know?”

That’s when I decided that if I was ever going to get better I was going to have to take my health and healing my uti’s naturally into my own hands. I dove into research about bladder’s, kidneys, causes of uti’s and natural cures. After about a year of trial and error, I can proudly say I am symptom free! So, of course, I need to come on here and share the wealth. Here are my top tips for healing those annoying uti’s naturally.

Tip 1:  Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar has a ton of beneficial properties four our skin, hair, digestion, and vagina. It acts as an antibacterial agent in our bodies and by adding it to our water three times a day or mixing in with a daily vaginal douche it can help heal any overgrowth of bacteria.

Tip 2: Baking Soda

I like to take a few tablespoons of baking soda in a half cup of water 2-3 times a day and wash it down with a full glass of water. Baking soda alkalizes the body making the environment inhospitable to bacteria that thrive in an acidic environment.

Tip 3: Stay Hydrated

Drinking enough water is imperative to healing. The water will flush out toxins and bacteria that may be hanging out in your urinary tract. I aim for two liters a day. This will most likely have you running to the bathroom every hour but just think of all the toxins you’ll be flushing out!

Tip 4: Garlic Suppository

This method is by far the most aggressive of the other but it definitely gets the job done. You’ll need a clove of garlic, a needle, piece of thread, and coconut oil. Thread your needle and stick in through the clove of garlic. Then remove the needle and know the thread so the excess dangles about 4 inches. Coat the garlic in coconut oil and insert into vagina over night. In the morning you can remove and clean yourself as usual. My symptoms are usually gone by the second day but I usually do three complete days for good measure.

Tip 5: Tea Tree Oil

Another one if my favorites because I can set it and forget it, is a tea tree oil tampon. It’s exactly what it sounds like. A tampon dipped in a tea tree and coconut oil mixture and inserted into the vagina. Be sure to dilute the tea tree oil because the essential oil alone can burn you and believe me that is that last place you want a burn.

Now please bear in mind that when I was going through this I had no idea what was causing my uti’s and finding a complete cure was kind of like trying to find a needle in a hay stack but if your are willing to put in some detective work, I believe these tips can help get rid of the infection for good.
