Now, let’s get to it.
Check out this TEDTalk by Tim Box about how he deals with anxiety:
Definition of anxiety disorder
What are you anxious about?
- Covid-19?
- vaccinations?
- the future?
So, whatever you are anxious about, here are four cool tips for dealing with an anxiety disorder that do not require any medications.
Of course, if you are already on medications, your are strongly advised to speak with your doctor if you are considering any of the following methods.
Tip No. 1 – Hypnotherapy
The objective of this treatment is to reprogram your subconscious mind, the source of those irrational fears.
Once you have altered that program in your brain, the symptoms are also consequently minimized.
Hypnotherapy is a safe treatment method.
Before you know it, under the supervision of a competent therapist, you will have let go of some brain programs that produce the high level of anxiety associated with your irrational fears.
Tip No. 2 – Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)
This method is designed to help you re-interpret how you produce your idea of reality through a process known as “reframing”. It can be part of a hypnotherapy session.
Starting from an analysis of your own anxiety-based constructs, NLP practitioners suggest new ways in which you can reframe your perspective of the world.
This will help you get rid of any thoughts that produce anxiety.
Tip No. 3 – Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
Like with the two treatment methods above, this one is a rapid and effective method.
Also called “tapping”, EFT is built around similar principles such as acupuncture, minus the needles.
This method can be dubbed as “emotional acupuncture” wherein you access your emotions to change your behaviors and thought patterns using the tips of your fingers.
Tip No. 4 – Body Scan Relaxation Technique
One of the best ways to combat fear is to stop and take time to connect with your body.
This is a version of a Silva Method Relaxation Technique you can do yourself.
You can try following the steps below and find yourself free of any anxiety fear:
• Sit quietly or lie down while you keep your eyes shut.
• Starting from your feet and working your way upwards, scan your body for sensations.
• Take time to pause in each area of your body and give notice to the different sensations they undergo.
• Then, proceed to the center of your body – at the abdomen area or around the navel. Then, breathe into it.
• Try doing this technique at least once a day and you will notice you will feel relaxed after doing it.
Meditation has been proven by research to be an effective methods of therapy and healing and you can use it to deal with anxiety.
