I do not get any financial compensation for mentioning anyone in this article.
I am, however, an affiliate of Dr. Steve G. Jones’ programs wherever you find links to them.
In the last article we took a look at flow states.
A quick summary of what these states are was provided several years ago by three people from a program called Advanced Law of Attraction Mastery™ in the mid-2000s:
- Dr. Symeon Rodger, author of The Five Pillars of Life,
- Kit Fuery, J.D., CHt, and
- Kathy M. Gyimesy
The summary is as follows:
- An experience of clarity, harmony, inspiration, flow
- A physical state – high energy (athletes also confirm this)
- A mental state – relaxed and focused, so much so that you lose track of time
- An emotional state – joyfully expecting success
- A set of skills – assessing, prioritizing, focusing, energizing
- A way of being, a habit – it happens automatically
- Alignment of body, spirit, and mind
Taken from Module III – How to Access States of Peak Performance, Advanced Law of Attraction Mastery™ (2007)
In this article, we will look at how to access the flow state.
Calibration of emotional states
The flow state has also been referred to as the peak vibrational state.
Several years ago, I came across the work of David Hawkins (1927-2012) in a book called Power vs Force.
Within the book is a chart referred to as a Map of Consciousness©
Note: Veritas Publishing holds the copyright for the Map of Consciousness. The image is all over the web.
Rather than reproducing it here, I am going to share a video from the Veritas Publishing YT Channel of Hawkins giving a brief explanation of the map.
While I have not used the system to calibrate my own emotional state, I acknowledge the usefulness of this information for understanding how we achieve flow states.
Flow states, or peak vibrational states, are, indeed, important in the Law of Attraction.
After all, wasn’t it Esther Hicks who said,
“Do whatever it takes to feel good”? (paraphrased)
The chart maps consciousness from the emotional state of shame, which calibrates at 20, to enlightenment, which calibrates at over 700.
Anger, interestingly, calibrates at 150.
Like Mr. Nancy, says in the HBO™ series American Gods:
“Anger gets shit done!”
The trouble with anger
Yes, it might get things done. However, how does it work? What might result from it?
- It often sparks off fear, which calibrates at 100 (much lower than anger),
- It can be hijacked, and
- It can be co-opted and thrown back at you.
In fact, anger is very limited in what it can really achieve in advancing human consciousness.
Nonetheless, it does calibrate higher than mere desire.
Maybe that’s what it takes to get you started.
If you are into this sort of thing, you are looking to, at least, rise above courage, which calibrates at 200.
We touched on the emotion of joy in a previous article. Joy calibrates at 540.
In a nutshell, emotions such as
- anger,
- fear,
- grief,
- apathy,
- guilt and shame…
…are low vibrational states (they do not feel good).
Anything above anger, starting with courage, are desirable emotional states that feel good. These are peak vibrational states.
One produces negative results. The other produces positive results.
Can you guess which is which?
How do you access the flow state?
If you are already a follower of people like Brian Tracy, Steven Kotler and Dr. Steve G. Jones, you may already have the answer to this question.
Or indeed experienced it at some point in time.
Have you seen Brian Tracy’s 10 productivity tips?
It goes without saying that you MUST avoid distractions. They can kill the flow state.
Other ways to access the flow state include maintaining your physical, mental, and spiritual well being through
- proper diet and nutrition
- exercise
- spiritual and mental practices such as meditation, prayer, visualization, and the use of imagination
- use of brainwave entrainment tracks
- self hypnosis
Elsewhere on this site, you will find articles on food and nutrition, exercise, and self hypnosis.
In future articles, I will be looking at the metaphysical side of brain training through spiritual practices and brainwave entrainment.
We will kick things off in this area by looking at mindfulness. You just might be surprised to find that this practice is not that new.
But first – are you too old to learn something new? Is that saying “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks” a true statement?
