Hypnosis is effective in changing the way one thinks. It only makes good sense then that hypnosis can help control sadness and depression. It is a way of removing barriers to happiness and getting on a path that will lead to a more fulfilling, enjoyable life.

One in six Americans will have an episode of depression in their lives, according to statistics. Only 50 percent of those who could be classified as “depressed” actually seek some sort of professional help. This makes in nearly impossible to get an accurate picture or exact number for how many people are truly depressed. It only means that the number is staggering and you are not alone. Hypnosis can be the answer to breaking out of medication treatments and their undesirable side effects and turning your life around.

The rise in the number of people that are depressed is not completely known, but it is believed to have more to do with socioeconomic changes in the world, except for the cases of chemical imbalances, than the fact that diagnosing depression has improved. So feeling a little sad now and again is normal, but doesn’t have to be a part of every day life when hypnosis is used to treat it.

Depression is evident in people when they experience a loss of energy. They can also lose interest in activities they once enjoyed, or remove themselves from previously enjoyable relationships and associations. The key word here is “lost.” Hypnosis can restore what is lost to depression by suggesting a different attitude or mind set that makes reality overrule irrational thoughts that lead to being sad.

Clinical Hypnotherapist, Steve G. Jones, has helped people control sadness and overcome depression through hypnosis. The self-hypnosis method he uses can instill real changes in emotional attitude in a matter of just a few weeks.
