In the previous article we looked a little deeper into what it takes to be an independent contractor.

Do seek out professional advice if you intend to go this route.

So, this is going to be my last article in this mini-series on freelancing.

I want to share two sources of information for beginners to digital freelancing in the gig economy.

Source Number One: John Morris (yes, him again)

John Morris has a playlist on his YouTube™ channel that is all about finding work on Upwork.

When you sign up to Upwork™ you will also be invited to webinars where you will be taught stuff such as preparing proposals, creating your profile, etc.

If you haven’t seen it yet, he has a video comparing the different digital freelancing platforms:

His free online course for beginners can be found here

Source Number 2: Personal Shopper for Instacart™

OK so it’s not completely digital. You need to have a car.

Do you drive and is your license current? You could become a personal shopper via Instacart. This is not for everybody and the company does have some strict rules. It is a US-based company.

Source Number 3: Adam Palmer (The Freelance King)

Update 2023: I spotted this next source on an Upwork™ webinar held today (January 10). His name is Adam Palmer (The Freelance King). Check out his YouTube™ Channel.

To a better, wiser, stronger YOU.

PS: I am not an affiliate for John Morris, Adam Palmer, or Instacart™ or any of the afore-mentioned digital platforms.
